INSTRUCTORS
Diana Balgenorth:
Diana has been teaching dance and working with children for over ten years! She received her training at Charmaine's Studio of Dance in Roseville, Michigan, and has also trained with professionals from New York and LA. She was a varsity dance team coach for seven years and has also taught at private studios. Diana's choreography has won awards and her dancers have won regional and national recognititon. Diana's specialties are in hip hop, tap, and jazz, and she is looking forward to being a part of a new and exciting studio with a fresh approach!
Autumn Hegner:
Autumn is currently a scholarship recipient and dance major at Oakland University. She has been dancing for 15 years and has been trained in ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, musical theater, and hip hop. She has won numerous awards and competition titles including VIP Dance Icon, VIP National Miss Dance runner up, and four KAR Kid Awards. She was captain of the Stoney Creek High School Dance Team as well as guest choreographer for other local teams. She attended the Dance Master's Teacher Training School, has been teaching locally, and is currently working on her Zumba certification. Autumn brings her lively, bubbly personality into the classroom and loves working with our youngest dancers!
Melissa Holloway:
Melissa is trained in tap, ballet, lyrical, jazz, hip hop, and musical theater. She brings along her teaching expereince of 14 years! Melissa has taught classes for ages 2.5 to adult as well as choreographed and held the title of competition director. She very much enjoys teaching and is also a preschool teacher and mom giving her lots of experience! Melissa is also CPR and life saving certified.
Summer Jasso:
Summer has over 30 years of dance experience! She started her dance training in Texas at the Frances Jennings Schofield School of Dance and later with the Harlingen Ballet Center and the Edge Performing Arts Studio in LA. She has placed as well as had her choreography place in numerous regional and national competitions. Summer has also choreographed for high school dance teams, regional theater productions, pageants, and countless dance recital productions. She was a company member of Jazz Shop and Co Motion Dance Company while in Texas. Summer loves teaching and is also a mother of two!
Johannah Mosley:
Johannah is originally from Alexandria, Virginia. She began dancing at the age of 6 at the Alexandria Ballet. Her formal training began when she attended The Washington School of Ballet. She spent summers at The Washington School of Ballet, Richmond Ballet, North Carolina Dance Theatre, Summer Stages Dance at Concord Academy, and Z Mullins Dance Company’s Summer Intensive. Johannah received her B.F.A. in Dance with a concentration in Ballet Performance from Radford University where she graduated summa cum laude. She danced professionally with Atlanta Festival Ballet where she has performed soloist roles in The Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, and The Nutcracker. She was also on the faculty at Atlanta Festival Ballet School where she taught ballet to ages 3 to adult.

Jennifer Rodda:
Jennifer (known as Miss Jen) has been teaching dance for six years and enjoys teaching all ages, but has a soft spot for the younger dancers. She has trained in ballet, jazz, lyrical, hip hop, pompom, acro, and musical theater. Miss Jen leads our acrobatics classes. Jen is also a loving mother of two girls.
Julia Moore:
Julia is attending Wayne State University as a dance major. Julia has trained and been a teacher assitant at 2nd Street Studio of dance during its founding year performing as the Snow Queen in "The Incredible Nutcracker" and the Lilac Fairy variation from Sleeping Beauty. She previously was a member of the Macomb Ballet Company. Julia also attended the Complexions Contemporary Ballet Summer Intensive in 2014. Julia is very excited to start her teaching career at 2nd Street!
